Just called dealer today to add the rear camera , looked at the website and the park assist was only an extra 100 quid so thought why not , never had a car with so much tech coming from a mk 5 gti which I have owned for 7 years and never missed a beat or let me down only home my mk7 lives up to the mk5 , any one else ordered the park assist.      Build week 9 not long now

Tech pack includes Dyno Audio, Discovery Pro, App Connect and i think a sub in the boot.

I don't mean to be rude but did you have a look into what options were available when you placed the order? The tech pack is nice to have but by no means essential.

Long waits for the car breed procrastination. I'm an options tight-arse as I believe they offer very poor value for money in their purchase price and what they return (don't mind spending the money if I see a big chunk of it back when it's time to change), but even I added Prets later and then the 5 year warranty. If i'd ordered them with the car, i'd have saved £135 as the Prets went up £85 and the warranty went up £50 in that time.

The wait between ordering and confirmed build week (where you can no longer add or change your build) is a killer. 
Did the dealer tell you that adding park assist was another £100 as its only £85?
