judder/misfire at 2-3k in 6th gear

Hi my ed35 seems to judder almost misfire between 2-3k it only seems to do it in 6th any ideas what it could be.

Is the car mapped and are you giving beans in 6th gear from 2-3k revs?

Hi no its not been mapped, not by me anyway.
VW got to do further investigation but they believe it to be the mechatronic unit. Hopefully get done under warranty but it ran out 3 months ago. Fingers crossed if not 2500£ fitted. Ouch

my gti is mapped with bluefin an in 6th at about 3k rev put foot down an it drops revs an kinda feels like a loss of power for a spilt second any ideas ? doesnt happen all the time though

what air intake are you running? standard or a carbonio or something?

running revo stage2 intake also get a whistle noise in 3 an 4 full throttle ?

the whistling is an air leak some where on the intake, have you made sure all the piping is full secured. I switched all my hoses claps to jubilee clips so i could really nip them up (I also have the Revo stage 2 intake). The air leak could also be causing the dip in power when in 6th.

thanks for help i will have a look at the clamps it only happen since intake fitted guessing the guy who fitted it isn't strong enough
