The 17.5% discount being offered on standard GTI and I think R too makes the CS look a little dear.

It absolutely did, I actually went into VW to buy a CS but the lack of any kind of deal offered had me walking out with a deal on an R at a bit over £27k....the difference on the PCP monthlies was over £200pm for 3 years!!

Just to give you an idea, I have just had a PCP quote on a new Cayman base model with a few options, coming in around £45k pre discount ( and I have been told " tell me where you want to get to" so I think there is 5% in there )

Even with a frankly ridiculous 9.7% APR which I would never pay the Cayman was coming in around the same as a CS..

Not sure about not being able to pick your colour. My dealer has said no such thing and with a build at the end of the year I can;t see any reason why it can't be my choice

Interesting that you haven't chosen yet as VW UK already have numbers on the colour allocations;

Yes I chose white but I noticed in a post earlier someone said they didn't have the option to choose?

That was me that said I didn't have a choice of colour.

I must have misunderstood what you said as it read as if you hadn't chosen yet;

I suppose it's still possible the colours were allocated in advance and if your dealer was quick enough he could choose from all 3 available (or my dealer is not telling the whole story).

100% not telling the whole Story, the choice was there for all, it's not like they've already been built!!
