Can anyone confirm if the order sheet after deposit holds any weight and if the dealer would ever renege on the offer?

Right can anyone tell me how long their dealers are taking to go from deposit to order number? Placed my deposit down Tuesday and despite reassurances, i still have no order tracking number.

I had my Golf R order number the day after I signed on the dotted line.

Does anyone know why they would want to purposely delay this?  Could it be different budgets? The dealer maintains that it is with VWs admin team (whoever they are) to put the order through.  Does this sound correct?

I got on well with the salesman but if this carries on i am tempted to complain to his manager.

Congrats to those who have ordered. I've asked for a quote the guy I'm dealing with is going on holiday tomorrow and emailed to say they can't generate a finance quote as the system will not let them.

I see the PCP deals are on the configurator now.
£3k deposit 5k per annum over 48months is under £400 a month with £1250 dealer contribution.
Thats actually not that bad.
