Up to 24 weeks when my order went in on Sunday, its on the tracker so will see what comes.  Hoping 24 weeks is for the "tail end Charlies"!!

Be very surprised if the brokers get their hands on cars through main dealers at a discount - surely these will sell direct at the dealer??  But if confirmed discount is there please share details ;-)

From what I've been told there are also restrictions on dealer orders.
Will be very surprised if any do appear on sites like that.

If we were to place deposits and say in a months time discounts were available via usual routes, would we be able to cancel and reorder - or would you lose deposit?

BTW not had a single response thus far on Carwow - submitted a quote earlier this morning.

By the time brokers get back to you all 1000 will be sold!
VW UK will then import more to meet demand if orders exceed 1000 units.
If you seriously want one, be prepared to pay full list price and get your order in ASAP.

I suspect you know the answer to that one!

I got a message back saying no local dealers would provide a quote.

I have just read the description next to the bucket seats on the price list.  It states seats are in lieu of Pre-Crash prevention, is this the radar system on the front of the car.  Please read below:

‘Clubsport’ cloth seat centre section and Alcantara side bolsters including
heated front sports bucket seats with embroidered ‘GTI’ logo. In lieu of
PreCrash preventive occupant protection and front centre armrest

So to have the bucket seats you lose the centre arm rest console and the PreCrash preventive protection (Radar?) It seems they have bodged the seats to fit as an after thought rather design the layout so they fit properly. However I have seen photos of the same seats in a R400 concept with the centre console remaining intact between the seats.  Also does anyone know if you lose the red strip lights in the doors as well if the bucket seats are specified?

On perusing the price list.  This would be an expensive car if I were to configure it with the same spec as my current GTi + extras I expected to be standard for the clubsport.
