Really hoping not to be 24 weeks lead time.

Nice, I probably already know the answer but did they even mention the discount word?

Hi all. Relatively new to the forum. Finally the club sport is out and I am seriously putting an order in this week.

So I agree that it is probably way over priced but I think there is something special about this car and whilst I know that it's a personal thing, I have never been a fan of he understated looks of the R.

Have put the feelers out with car wow and drive the deal. Although I suspect I already know he answer!

Failing that I have a friend of a friend who is a dealer. He helped me get a 8% off list 7 years ago. Still don't expect much.

Did you get anything off action?

This will be my first ever gti and I am mega excited!

TBC with GM re discount but wont be holding my breath, its not on the Dealer Finance Contribution list either.

Agree with the comments about price but I also like the fact it isn't discounted, gives it a true value albeit an exensive one.

Action what's the standard spec like in terms of interior lighting and kit? I was thinking it would be the same as the GTI minus the front parking sensors.

Wondering if they will appear on broker sites...

Carfile mentions the Clubsport in its text about finance contribution, but not listed as a model yet.

Given that the bucket seats are options, the sunroof is an option and the better wheels are options, this is such poor value for money. £250 cheaper than the equivalent R without these options is just madness. There is no guarantee that the clubsport will retain any significant value or appeal over the R given the price differential.

I agree with the above, it appears to be a triumph of marketing.
A "real" clubsport should not be any heavier than the regular car?
My 2 year old PP is suddenly looking incredible value and most likely lighter!
