I assume this is 1000 units for the UK?

That is still quite a few cars.

i don't think it'll be limited to 1000 units in the end when the order books close.
It'll be limited by what the production line can produce.
If all 1000 units are sold within say the first 6 months of say a 14 month production line run, VW UK could request more RHD units to meet demand to be built as long as the factory has the capacity.
I don't think it's special enough over the standard GTI PP to justify Golf R pricing.

The prets only come with the semi-slick tyres. So just £2480 for black (or silver) prets..!

Probably just a photoshop job, but I see they've a proper dead pedal foot rest on a RHD car in the photos:

I contacted my dealer today enquiringly about discount on the CS , I am not surprised with the reply but thought I would ask .

Hi Steve,
I am okay thank you, I hope you are.

Please see below and attached.
With the limited volume each VW retailer will only get about 4 of this model, I have asked about discount  because of the limited supply unfortunately I have been told there will be no discount.

Best regards
James

My wife was dead set on getting one but then 3 things happened.

1)We were rearended by a Land Rover Discovery and she was hurt quite badly(back and neck) and at the moment she can't travel in a Golf at the minute but hopefully that will change, I have had to borrow a Range Rover from my brother.

2)She knows how much of a discount, 18% easy that we can get off an R

3)The price of the Clubsport and not knowing if it is going to be limited to 1000 units in the UK

I see the standard colour is Urano Grey according to when I looked at the price list in work yesterday.
We've been there before!

Actually there was a (leased I'll presume) Scirocco R on a 65 plate parked around the corner from my house last week for a day or so. It was in Urano Grey and I'm sad to say I thought it looked really good.

Is that worth going for ?

Just been reading up on the tech pack not sure it that's worth going for. Didn't have it on my old gti7 and thought the standard stereo was quite good.
