If those prices are right, VW have lost the plot.  I was 95% there, but not now.  Guess I'll have to make do with my R a bit longer lol.

How much are the bucket seats and the 19s?

Ouch.

I think they are taking the piss is asking for £295 for the black roof. That should have been standard.
It's part of the CS DNA.

I feel a little bit cheated here.

For that money I would definitely rather have an R.

I think they have got the pricing all wrong. You would have to be a huge fan of the CS to chuck that kind of cash at it.(IMHO)

The GTI CS will hold good value BUT do you really want to spend on the GTI CS knowing it's not the top R model with useful 4WD?

  and so true!

You'd want it to do more than hold good value at that price.
Discounted R bought new versus facially challenged CS a few years down the line?
The cheap leases may have killed the R's exclusivity but not its reputation where it regularly tops magazine shoot outs, so although used values will be dented they won't be through the floor.

The CS would have to be very sought after to make it worth a few grand more than an R that could well have been bought for less when new.
Plus the CS will be very spec specific to make it worth its salt when it comes to used values. Certain specs will hold their values well but whether you'll get much of a real world £££ return on the thousands spent on extras is another thing.
For those that buy it for what it is and enjoy it for what it is then good on you.
