Whats an SLI ordering system?

Dare you spill the beans on list prices / options, standard spec etc?

It's the system we order all new cars on.

It wont let me go any further than the 3/5 door Manual or DSG option.

Fingers crossed something more over the next few days with colours, specs etc

I'm toying with either the clubsport / Golf R / S3 / m135i
Opinions welcome!

My wife has a 235i and it's a fantastic car. It's currently for sale on pistonheads and autotrader.

I've just test drove an S3, as i had began to get tired of waiting for the clubsport to be released. I wasn't blown away by it though, and neither could i order one. The facelift A3/S3 is due in May and Audi haven't released prices or spec yet. sound familiar?

I'm not bothering with the GTI Clubsport as I feel pricing will be close to the Golf R and no discounts will be available.
Given up on the Golf R400 also.
Just about to order a Golf R ;)

Clubsport -wait and see for UK spec (likely to be generous on the equipment), availability of options like Recaro type seats (maybe test drive a Cupra 290 and ignore the interior while you do it, to get a feel for how it will drive). Will you get a decent discount on it?

Golf R - It's here now, no surprises, great traction and usable power, looks nicer externally than the 135i and S3 and second best interior (after the S3), good standard level of equipment. Easy to get 13% discount + loyalty discount if you're eligible and get your car on time + deposit contribution.

S3 -OK looking exterior (looks less good in 5 doors Sportback than either Golf option), great interior, feck-all in standard equipment beyond non-active Xenons, so you will be dipping into the options heavily. 12% discount if you go to the right dealer - harder to extract that discount from a lot of Audi dealerships.

M135i - Sounds great, goes great (questionable stability when the weather is sh!te - rear wheel drive) extremely Fugly, decent level of equipment - big discounts available (24% off RRP).

I personally wouldn't consider the M135i due to its looks.
Whey ya bugger! It's finally arrived after an 8 month wait....

Can't be far away now.................

Its on my SLI ordering system with the 3/5 door and Manual/DSG option...................

Looks like things are getting a little closer at least - if you are able to give guidance, what I would like to know is what the lead time of GTI/R models are like at the moment? I know there have been long lead times, but I was quoted 9-12 months by one dealer earlier today when talking about GTI's.
That seems pretty outrageous, when the German markets clubsport cars appear to be getting deliver in something like 8 weeks or so

Anything you can offer from your knowledge here?
