I am glad i specced it with my GTD.It makes more sense to have it on a slow warming up diesel.Only used it a few times this Winter but it is worth every penny.Stops misting up too.

As for it stopping the screen misting up, isn't that what climate control is for. Hence the reason you are supposed to leave it on in winter.

Hence the reason you are supposed to leave it on in winter.It has an auxillary heater that allows you to warm the cabin quicker (for comfort), but it won't help warm the engine oil any quicker, and that GTD will be thirsty (relative, for a diesel) until the engine is warm.
You're right...it would make sense. A mate had one in his VW Transporter and it worked well...stunk to high heaven, but it kept him warm.Don't quite know where it would fit under the bonnet tho'.
