Think I've got your car with all the spec you've listed, bar the sport and sound pack (good call that though)......

The leather is expensive but I really wanted it for two reasons, 1) kids and there crud, 2) how I can be after training..... Both now cause me no issues as the seats are easy to clean.

I really like the panoramic roof, it's not a full folding sunroof but it does the job.  Don't see many with it added so it's an nice bonus, with the grey it's subtle too as it blends in with the colour

Absoloutely cracking price through orange wheels.

I found Orange wheels thr same price as DTD and as DTD contacted me first (in fact still waiting to hear back from Orange deals on a couple of points) I decided to go with them. Price wise, nothing in it.

I have got you bud, I did phone orange wheels first and he asked me if I had been to the dealers first to get there price, I hadn't. He said to visit them first then get back in touch. I didn't need to because I just told my dealer I had been on the website. I ordered my car mid september. Been a long wait, never wish my life away but its been a bit of a wait, Incidentally I ordered it 2 days before the scandal went global.

I'm currently looking at ordering a new Golf GTD and I'd just like to ask people's opinion on the spec I've put together, I'm going for a 5 door DSG in Carbon Grey, I've added Tech Pack, Sport & Sound(purely for the red calipers) Rear Camera, High Beam Assist(I use this all the time on my current car)4 year warranty & service pack.

Anyone got any thoughts on anything I've missed out or things I could do without??

I did want to get the Pan Sunroof, would anyone recommend it?? I also wanted leather but it seems way overpriced at £1700

The sound on the Sport & Sound pack is way better than the red calipers. I initially ordered mine for the calipers but I am really addicted to the growl it makes

Car-Net App might be worth adding as its only £100.

That's good. I wasn't sure as its still an option on the VW site even if you add the Tech Pack.

If you like the high beam assist I would strongly recommend you consider the lane assist as this comes with dynamic headlights. They are brilliant. I went for all the options on my car and this is the best one by far.

I have HBA and had I actually known how the options actually pan out, I'd have ticked lane assist in an instant to get dynamic lighting - it was one of the launch headline pieces of tech and seemingly unavailable... but it was, you just needed to know where it was!

Same with Sport n Sound. "its just an internal sound device" said VW at the time. Oh no it isn't...

Stupid really, they could have had loads more of my money if they'd actually bothered to try and tell me what was actually available.

I'll be ticking both next time.
