I could be completely wrong but aren't most cars these days stolen with the keys? You might be better ensuring your home is protected properly.

My home is protected alarm cctv. My understanding is that thieves now don't need your key. They would much prefer to break into to car and code a new blank key via your OBD PORT.

Blimey, really? I'd have thought using the key would be a lot easier and safer than faffing about coding a new key. How long does that take then? I'd prefer that though than a break in or knocking on my door followed by a violent altercation. I love my car but my face isn't insured!

That's not a disklok.

they use the same lock  same as the old u-lock for bikes that can be opened with a pen

The Disklok I use on my van is opened with a key, not one of those weird round keys that you use with a bike lock

All I now is that I've never had a vehicle stolen with one of these on. And I don't know anyone who has.
It's better than nothing at the end of the day and they're only £100.

Yeah that was my reaction. There's news articles and videos about it takes anything between 90/30 secs reportedly. TBH it seems like a lot of fords that are effected by it. Yeah your right a car is replaceable your face and family isn't.

I've been using mine for 3 months and the cover protects the steering wheel well from marks. Bag has Velcro which stops it rattling around too. Good stuff!

Never bothered with the cover on any of my cars. The most I had to do was ensure the wheel on the VXR was at 90 degrees as he leather was very soft, doing this meant the lock sat on some stitching. Sorted.

Keep the disklok key separate from the car key

If you ever get accosted in the street for your key, throw the car key at them and run away. They can get in the car but won't be going anywhere lol
