If the OP really does have money to burn, what is he doing buying a VW ?
They really are great cars, but the R isn't so wonderful that it can't be significantly bettered by many other cars from other Marque's.
It's like saying I could afford an Audi R8 but choose to own an R instead because it's better.
Each to their own I suppose.
As per normal I was being tongue in cheek.
However there are different levels of "money to burn" and when you're younger and looking towards a life of debt you probably look more towards affordable monthlies than the actual headline figures involved. Affordability.
And we know young Ian wants a set of Pretorias and possibly a slightly different spec to what he has so if he can juggle the figures to his "benefit" (affordability) to get what he wants (this month) then now, while VW sit scratching their heads on how to get out of their predicament and the new vs. used prices are completely skewed by financial incentives to pacify the unions and keep the factories chugging out new metal we are possibly presented with a once in a lifetime opportunity.
Then again I could just be talking sh1te as usual...
