It's got Park Assist too.

Looks like the previous owner, or the dealer has skimped on tyres tho'. Roadstones?
Red Mk6 gone replaced with a white Mk7 which has gone too. Green Mk2 here to stay.

I agree. Not the best tyre so a bit frustrating, however, not a deal breaker.

I will thoroughly check all the specified extras / options etc. when i see the car up close.

Are the Santiago alloys problematic with the buckling, or is it a case of 'only negativity is posted on internet car forums'?

Keyless isn't standard on the three door cars anymore. It's not even an option.

It might be that the tyres were worn out and it's been part exchanged and the seller has put the budget ones on. It's something that is easily changed so don't let it put you off buying g the car if everything else checks out.

It might have dynamic chassis control too. You can find this out by pressing the drive select button. Top left of the gear lever. Go to individual and customise. If it's got it there will be an option to change the stiffness of the shocks. If it's there keep quiet as it's a £800 option so it won't help your negotiations.

Looks a great car though.

Well specced car and it looks like it does have DCC ( Dynamic chassis control) .

Useful option with 19"s.

I think there have been a couple of internet users with buckling problems on the 19's, but I'd say it was far from common across the total number of people with them.

I wouldn't worry about it unless you can see a problem with this car right now.

The tyres are a bit weird though, at 14k miles its needed new boots all round? Most are seeing 35k+ from the factory bridgestones rears.... and about 14k on the fronts. These el cheapo tyres seem an odd customisation by the previous owner, there has to be a reason although quite what that might have been is anyone's guess. I doubt that you will find out.

I would check that they are genuine santiagos and not replicas, why else would you spec a car like that and put crappy tyres on, doesn't make sense to me.

I'd thoroughly validate everything the dealer says about it though - for example he doesn't mention NavPro, yet its in the photo. He mentions all sorts of other costed extras, are they actually there?

I don't know if I'd mention Nav pro as that was a £1200 extra back then. It certainly looks as if it has it with the bigger screen.
It has got a decent spec. Heated seats come as standard on VW Leather.

I know its already been mentioned what the list price cost but you can buy that today brand new from a broker for £27,500. Possibly slightly less if you shop around.

Its £5,500 more than what you are paying but you might find buying via PCP works out less for a new car.
Going that route its roughly £375 a month over 48 months with a £1k deposit but remember you would have a final payment come the end of the term or trade it in or hand it back and walk away.

Keyless wasn't standard on 14 plate cars - at least it wasn't on my GTI.

Also, Roadstones aren't actually that bad. I had a set on the front of my old Astra VXR (All I could get after a blowout in Cyprus) and they did grip surprisingly well, although they are soft, so wore down quite quickly. It also might not have come on Bridgestones - remember it's on 19s which seemed to come with a greater variety of tyres than the Bridgestone/Continental choices of the 18s.

My 19s came with Pirelli P Zeros as standard and 40k Niles later they're not buckled at all. Although be prepared to cry when you have to change the front tyres, I've change mine three times in 40k.
