Absolutely love mine, a fantastic car! They do come with drls and led rear lights but be careful of imports which may not.

If you go DSG, go for the convenience, not for economy - they're 10% thirstier than a manual in the real world (depending on how you drive it of course, but me driving my dad's DSG GTD the way I would have driven my manual GTD is 10% thirstier). Most DSG R owners are averaging 28mpg and i'm averaging 32 in my manual one, without sparing the horses.
Whey ya bugger! It's finally arrived after an 8 month wait....

Nope you go DSG for outright speed. Quicker changes, launch control etc. Most definitely not the Eco version, significantly worse as MH said

I am in slightly same predicament to yourself. With a Mk6 gti looking to upgrade to the mk7. Mine is manual but i want the DSG. Just buy it and try it! not the end of the world "IF" you disliked it after some time. Everyone i spoke to never went back to a manual after a DSG. Meant to be way easier in traffic (which the whole of the uk is) and slightly quicker to 60.. (well the R is) .

As discussed above lets be honest 10% reduction in fuel economy isn't a big deal and break the bank is it?.. and if your buying a 2.0 turbo and worrying about fuel economy something isn't right there is it?

My last car which I had for 12 years was auto but I'm really enjoying the change to manual. Having said that, when stuck in traffic I'd be pleased to have auto again, but that is rare.
