Cleaning wheels

Brake dust on wheels, tried lots of things but some just won't come off. Did a few track days in my car which made it bad.
Any advice?

What have you tried?  Sounds like you need to do a proper decontamination stage on them. In this order preferably, or you could try one or all of these.  A full decon would be all 3 steps.

1. Iron remover - such as Iron X which should bring the brake dust off.  If there's a lot you might need to de-iron it a couple of times. 

2. Bug/Tar remover - such as Tardis

3. Clay the wheels

Try the iron remover first to see how much that removes and then if required move onto the other stages.

Personally I use a fall out remover every week, but that's mainly because current bmw's are renowned for heavy bake dust and that combined with a 600 mile a week commute makes it a nightmare!

It's really important that once you've done your decon that you then seal the wheels, you'll be surprised how much of a difference this will make in future.

After 5 weeks without a wash, I found time to clean the red Golf on Thursday. I gave the wheels a spray with Muck Off as that's all I had to hand. 5 mins to soak, powerwashed them off and they looked as good as new. (except for the bits that I missed that I didn't notice until I moved the car)

Christmas is boring. Once you're past childhood, it's crap. All it is, is a loa of work feeding and catering to everyone else's whims.  Bah! Humbug.
