Weird, surely it's got to be something stuck somewhere.

I'd take the filter apart and check everything..

Is it just the intake sucking in the air! I have a vwr intake as I knew that it wouldn't make that much noise, I could be mistaken though.

This noise happens all the time if you have not tighten down properly at every intake joining section. It usually happenes at the seal where it joins near the turbo (back of the engine bay). Make sure every clip is secure and really tight. If you still have the banjo clip in that location i would swap it out for a jubilee clip as you can tighten them up much tighter and stop that tiny bit of air causing the whistle.

I have had pretty much intake, and the only that would never stop doing it is the EVOMS intake. Saying that i have not tried the Volands.

All intakes have different pipe diameter and degrees of bend, so some intake will suffer from great velocity (sometime causing that annoying whistle)

Good luck fixing it mate.

Yh i thought it might be the pipes...on other forums people are saying its the dv and it needs to be replaced? are banjo clips the ones that came on the original pipework? Thanks for your reply

Bro its SOOOO annoying :( for the evo ms...use your original pipe upto the maf sensor...so stock turbo pipe and the pipe that goes accross and bends down...and then the rest use the evo ms...ive heard thats a fix for the evo ms one

Yeah the banjo / hose clips are the ones that come with it. they hold the pipe in place but dont nip up tight like a jubilee clip. So i would swap that straight away. You can also use a dap of oil to run around the inside of the pipe where they join, then tighten up to create an air tight seal.

There is no need to replace the DV as it has nothing to do with it (unless you know your DV has failed) which they can do, but you should know that as you will have very power when on boost. Hope this helps

my evoms only came with the pipe after MAF, Going to tighten all the clips and see if that helps, but knowing others have it too it doesn't bother me as much.
