I have just joined you all, so thought I would say hi, and merry Christmas to you all.
I have a MK5 in Red, hopefully see pics below. I bought it earlier this year, love the retro seats, very similar to the seats in my MK2. Which I had 100 years ago, Im 51 so I have had a lot of cars. 60+ at last count, no just remembered another one, so 61 lol.
I used to service my own cars, but work keeps spoiling my fun. But I do as much as I can fit in. I will post the pics of some of the things I have been doing, hands free, driveshafts, suspension etc. I tend to photograph and video as I go, well you never know when you will need details.
These pictures were taken the day of the test drive. It was snowing down the road, ABS worked very well lol.
I have used the forum to help me get some things fixed on my car, so a big thank you to you all for helping me out.
Hopefully, I can do the same for any of you.
I have just found out that the outer door skins unbolt. Which is brilliant, and a cue for silentcoat install "sound dedening mod post" on its way.
I have an egg shaped wheel at the moment, and need a 17 inch monza, hopefully someone has one in their shead, awsome.
My car is work in progress, and all bumps and rattles are being sorted as I discover where they are. Suspension upper mount bearings next, ahh what fun playing with cars is.
