1.8 auto converting to ABF.... slowly but surely
« on: 29 November 2015, 21:57 »
Hi there i'm obsessed now! Everyone has said this is more expensive than buying a mk2 abf than making my own and they are probably right but where is the fun in that i say, Its a 91' model and is CE2 so easier to do conversion, Ok so far i have:
An ABF
ABF Loom
Digifant ECU
O2J Gearbox and linkage
ABF subframe
A corrado pedal box

Only work i have done so far is install a new suspension kit (Bilstein/Eibach Pro 12 kit) as it was on cheap crap coilovers which would cause sciatica going over a pebble in the road. Also upgrading brakes but i just need help in the actual engine and box conversion because i wanted an o2j box i'm uncertain on the hydraulics, do i have to use mk4 hydraulics or can i still use mk2 gti ones, also uncertain on driveshafts, can i use the mk2 gti driveshafts or will i have to find 100mm driveshaft flangecups undecided:

Looking for GTI Speedo, hydraulics, driveshafts, uncertain on the best clutchkit to get too, anyhelp would be greatly appreciated
