Very nice car.  Reminds me of my first brand new car in 1999 which was a 3 door Mk4 Golf GTi (150bhp) in metallic dark blue. I had to remind the dealer I needed the red i on the back not a silver one.  Btw - I like your forum name. I've owned 3 Corrado's in the past.  Only sold the VR6 Storm earlier this year through lack of use.

Snap, our first brand new car was a GTI in March 1999 but I was a cheap skate and got the 125bhp without the red I.
A dark  green one it was, didn't deserve the GTI badge, well built though.

Lovely Night Blue GTI and I wish I had the time/space/enthusiasm for detailing like that!
Good work

The winter wheels look familiar (I run a set too)

Hi all,

Thanks for the welcomes and positive comments. I think the colour is one that really needs the right weather to look really good. Not sure I have taken it in the best light yet and may need to wait until the summer.

Having had a few posters reminisce, I thought I should post some of my old cars so here goes, I am fairly sure that all but one had less than 50k miles on it!
