Now a GTi Owner and User - at last
« on: 19 November 2015, 11:03 »
Well I am at last using my new GTi as my every day car. Collected it last Friday but she went straight in the garage as the company car only went back on Monday. So its been in use for a few days now and I am very impressed so far. Haven't done many miles, as unusually been stuck in the office all week so yet to hit 3 figures. Very impressed with the handover from the dealer, despite my concerns on them cleaning the car I let them crack on and again I am impressed. No marks or swirls that I can see yet, even under the garage lights, yet to clean it though! A little thing I have noticed that I like, the background on the dash mounted DIS is honeycombed to match the carbon fibre look trim, nice touch. Particularly like how everything just works, no messing about needed to get IPod to work and display album art, unlike the wife's Merc GLA! The car is a standard new model in 5 door carbon grey, it was on order by the dealer so fitted my timescales with company car etc. Has all the right kit as standard to be honest so cant grumble on that score, maybe would have liked the PP or Leather or Dynaudio but that's my itchy trigger finger when confronted with option lists. Looking forward to many miles of happy motoring in her.

Great taste!
Exactly the same car I've ordered other than the fact I've got the PP.
Colour looks fantastic I must say.
They are some of the best pictures I've seen of the carbon grey. You have caught the car just right.
I'm tempted to add the tech pack but not sure I can justify the added cost :undecided:

I have to say it was pre ordered by the dealer when I enquired, he did have a white 5 door with PP on order as well with leather and DSG but I couldn't justify the increased cost. Carbon Grey was always top of my colour list as well so a no brainer, you wont be disappointed in the colour. Looks darker and lighter dependant on the day, today being a particularly miserable one, I am very happy with it.

Thank You for the welcome

The wife had a white A5 cab until recently and I felt the same about that, now its a black GLA which is even worse. You clean it, admire it, tidy up detailing gear then realise its dirty again

I've got DPB, and it's looked muddy brown since I got it. That's not washing it for ya
