« on: 08 November 2015, 13:05 »
Hi guys i am in the market to buy a used MK7 golf GTD, preferably with sat nav and in white or steel grey. What are you're opinions on this car? One thing that conerns me is that has had 2 owners in only 1 year....

There are loads of these available mate so have your blinkers on set on 1 particular car, if it's not everything you want move straight onto the next one.
PS they are a fantastic car, I really did love mine, such a great all round car and I would of been more than happy to keep mine

Probably a pre registered car then 1 private owner. If you intend to keep it for a few years then go take a look

Would be more concerned about the service history and mileage - first I would really want to know the exact registration date. If its March 2014 then maybe not too bad - but there are lower mileage cars around...

Thanks for the feedback so far. Any advice on the 19" santiago alloys compared to the standard 18" in terms of ride quality?

go to the garage and ask for the previous owners details and call them and see if there is /was any problems .
The garage may not give you details though so ask to see the registration  document and take a note pad with you .

"The TDI diesel and BlueMotion badges that adorn this car's sharply chamfered rump..."

Well neither my GTD nor the one in the garage's photo have these badges.

If you buy it, ask them to give you the badges... sale of goods act etc :D

Also the spec says:

Packs
Mirror pack - Golf
Convenience Pack - Golf S

WTF is that?

And my favourite:

"Child locks on rear doors"

On a 3 door.... I guess they are child safe, they've been welded up :D

IMHO, someone so lazy as to not describe the thing they are selling correctly... I'd give them a wide berth.

I agree with Fred, lazy seller.

Its been commented above there are loads of these cars - Steel grey with sat-nav - not sure thats the case as pre BW22 this year the sat nav was an expensive option.
