PS: At what point are you considered to be 'too old' to have a mid life crisis?  Is 50 the cut off?

Speaking from experience  :lipsrsealed:  your never to old to have a midlife crisis or two!

Just the one I think, it will just evolve into the 'old age crisis'.

Softer ride is important when want to delay the hip replacement as much as possible 🙆

I should know -
took delivery of the GTI a couple of days after my 55th birthday - way too old for a mid-life crisis :)

Holy moly I didn't think you were that old man :undecided:
55 that's old, like that's really really old...............only joking dude, fair play to ya
Hope I still have the same love for cars when I'm really that old!!

Hey Ian you're lucky I haven't time to construct a thoughtful and robust response - too busy with Fallout 4 - next you'll be saying I'm too old for a PS4

I'm still here to see what everyone is up to I suppose. Bike forums seem to be full of wanabee pros harping on about marginal gains over Strava segments. I'm realistic about my ability as I have found out on a few recent Sunday club runs, so can't be doing with the bolllox spouted from other MAMILs that are probably no faster or stronger than me.

I guess the timing of a midlife crisis depends on what you have done with your life up to that point. Some people are quite content to keep their heads down and keep trudging on, whereas others feel that they have to cram as much as possible into there three score and ten and then some. With family and work commitments the years can pass quickly. You soon find yourself at a point where you think you are running out of time to fit all of those bucket list items in.

Some reflective and relevant thoughts Dubber. Perhaps these puchases are sometimes the result of unhappiness elsewhere.

I saw a new 'R' today in limestone grey and a new GTD in tungsten silver.
It's amazing how good both these colours look when you actually see them on the road.
I've ordered carbon grey but would be happy with either of the other two colours.

Agree. The lighter colours were made for the Mk7.

Especially white!

I've still not seen an R in limestone,

I'm a big fan of Tungsten though, especially when you have red brake callipers and Santiagos to really set the colour off.

The R looked really special in limestone.
A customer of mine has a much lower spec Golf in limestone and that looks sh!te.
Probably the small wheels and lack of body kit.
I've just come from an Avus silver Audi so I need a darker car this time for a change.
