Mark, you can't leave us hanging like this  - what you getting pal??? Is it part of the big cat family by any chance?

Ha ha!  Nope!  I've gone for a Cayman S   Second hand one as I can't afford a new one, I'm a poor accountant after all! But its a cracking car and I can't wait to get behind the wheel - although its p!ssing it down today so I may regret the decision to go from AWD to RWD

Even better imo. Is it the new shape? The Cayman is a lovely car. Make sure to post plenty of pics and loads of feedback. Congratulations pal, absolutely brilliant. Very jealous!!

I've noticed the drop in prices of R's, just browsing Autotrader over the last few weeks. There seems to be quite a lot about, albeit fairly boggo spec ones - makes it tempting to try and pick up a used one for circa £25k.

My local dealership has 4-5 Brand new R's sitting on the forecourt which is very unusual. Now is the time when you can probably pick up s pretty good deal on one

Yeah, that's what I though, just a better drive than the F-Type.  Yup, its 14 plate so new shape  pick up Sat so I'll get some pics up if the weather is ok!  Cheers mate!  Just got to try and not wrap it round a tree now while I get used to having a RWD car

I reckon the dealer will put mine on the forecourt for £29K - which is a steal for a 13 month old R, so a great time to pick one up if you're a buyer.  There's loads on Autotrader as well.  Thanks VW

A brand new R DSG 5 Door from orangewheels is £29K, for a 13month old one I wouldn't want to be spending over £26K, although I see you have Nappa leather and Pro SATNAV so maybe not far off. With those extras new price is £33K

With what options though?  It's the options that are the killer!  Shocking how prices have fallen.

They're the killer.  Still, if you wanted a vanilla R and could get one for £26k then happy days!  I paid more than that for my mk 7 GTI
