Hi I have golf gti mk5. It's got the rettling noise from timing chain. Very common. And it's to much to fix.
My question is if I carry on driving like this will the chain break. ? Thanx

Surely fixing it is cheaper than a new engine / car??

The chain probably won't break but the timing will eventually move out of the normal range and valves will hit pistons and as stated above will require a new engine or car!!
