Rainbow Seats - a question
« on: 23 October 2003, 12:07 »
I have recently bought a std 1990 valve and it has Rainbow seats:

My older valves were both from 1989 and had the electric Recaro interiors - so I have no basis for comparison here.

My question is this - the seat bolsters and side bolsters both seem to be made of a 'velvety' material not unlike alicantara (sp) - is this normal?

Cheers for any info guys.

btw Jez - if you still want my rainbow interior - come and get in on Sat (I'm gonna rip it out regardless what my ins company want) ;D

I got rainbow seats but the material is the same all over. Could the parts in question have been replaced due to wear?

A good upholsterer should make a panel fit like stock but if it isn't a stock panel it aint stock.
Slim, I suspect someones done that to fix a hole, sounds more likely than a one off seat trim from factory.

Cheers.
