Do yourself a massive favour and ditch the Bridgestones sooner rather than later, and get the PS4 and enjoy some good rubber now.
Ordered 4 new Michelin PS4 tyres today.

I want really good performance tyres on my GTI. Some car enthusiasts on this forum will appreciate that. They understand the difference a really good set of tyres can make to a car.

Excellent!  Sure they will be superb.

A really good set of tyres makes all the difference. It's what's keeping you on the road after all and optimises the capabilities of the car.   One thing I'll never skimp on is a very good set of tyres. Worth their weight in rubber.

Post up your thoughts when you've given them a good blast.

I still haven't fitted mine yet but I'm considering getting some 19's after seeing what another member here has done, in bronze.

Booked it in for it's second service (2 weeks today).  Can't believe how fast the 2 years ownership has gone - time flies when you love your R.  Might have to do a little birthday 2 year review to mark the milestone.  Birthday present was the PS4S.

Had mine just over two years too (30th of August) and can't believe where that went. I wasn't so generous though, mine just got a new air filter!

Booking mine in for it's first year service within the next week or so.  Time really does fly.  It does not feel like I have had it a year already??

It's the sentiment that counts not the cost although try telling that to my bank balance!

I must agree.  Absolute love my Golf R, just as much as when i picked it up almost a year ago.  So glad I put extended warranty on it as I have no plans to change it until the MK8 is released at the earliest.

Lol.  There's a good chance I'll keep mine until an 8R shows it's face and the early teething issues are out of the way.  Such a good car it would be a crime to get rid of it even at 3 years old which is roughly when I normally switch although I keep me second mk7 gti for 4 years as that was such a good car.  The R is in that league and more.

I'll be honest I hope the 8 isn't a great departure from the 7.5. Although I can see areas of design that could be improved. Point is the performance and ability is dare I say almost impossible to improve on in this package. Especially at the price, Porsche would struggle to match it ,maybe on a boxster châssis at £50k +

I intend to keep for 7++? Years regardless, especially now I have pedal box+ fitted
Everyone was right, a revelation , like an extra ?BHP on tap.

Am off to Cornwall tomorrow 500 mile plus trip. Will have in City mode as have passenger

Trust will not end up hedgerows.  :nerd: sensible head on.

R the ultimate driving machine !

PS. It's a thirsty bxxxxr mind
