The R is great, exceeded my expectations, is a thrilling drive and worth the stupid 8 month wait, which was forgotten after just a few miles.

After all your praise of the R, I've gone and done what 18 months ago I couldn't possibly imagine myself doing - I've gone and ordered a Golf R! Admittedly it is the R Estate, but I've gone for lapiz blue  :laugh:

Now begins the very long wait for it to be built. Inchape VW West London are quoting 20 weeks...
