Latest minor but very practical mini mod -

Fitted the flexible boot liner today.  Genuine VW Mk7 hatch liner bought from eBay http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/221500646373?ssPageName=STRK:MEWAX:IT

Fits perfectly, really snug with no gaps at all - should catch the dirt and mud nicely.  It's extremely lightweight so will be easy to fold in on itself for removal to shake out all the dirt. Don't know why I didn't get one for my last car.

Next mini mod.....

Not on yet but my loaner DTUK pedal box arrived today. Will have to wait a week to be fitted as I'm away for a week but looking forward to having a throttle pedal with a bit more zip!!

At least you've got a nice shiny LED light to illuminate the footwell when you fit it - beware it showing up the scratches on your pedals though!!

I knew there was a reason I fitted those blue footwell LED's, mind you the standar White one's would have served better as a torch.

I posted a thread on the other forum asking for feedback from DSG owners and all bar 2 recommended it.  But you're right Stevie, seemed sensible to try before I buy.  So the offer of a loaner pedal box was gratefully accepted.

No mini mods this time, but a great trip to Yorkshire this week.

A great chance to drive the R on some fantastic roads over the Moors and around the Dales.  Car is outstanding.  Supremely sure-footed around the twisties and solid as a rock all round on dry, wet and icy roads.  One day sitting comfortably in Drive going about hum-drum business on the motorway, and the next into manual Sport and thrilling my socks off on some deserted roads in the stunning landscape.

I already new it, but what a stellar performer the R is!
