Wrapping
« on: 28 September 2015, 21:18 »
Hi All,

Has anyone on this forum had any experience with a wrapping of there car?

I am looking to possibly go matte finish? I understand this may be a crime to some on here but i am interested in doing it.

Also interested particularly in anyone in the Midlands preferably west midland who knows a good place to get it done?

Cheers

Speak to James at Positive Design in Tamworth, mention me as he's a good mate of mine.

Cheers

After I saw the new RS6 in matte Grey (ridonculous £££) I have been thinking I wonder what it would look like on a golf.

In addition to the one that has been recommended try midland car care in Walsall.

^^ Looks like it was cast from Pewter. Nice in an odd way.

Better getting a matte wrap than a matte paint job and having bird sh!te ruin it.
Whey ya bugger! It's finally arrived after an 8 month wait....

I had my last car wrapped at Eclipse in Stafford took them around a week to do as they did inside the door jams and rear hatch as well for me. I took it off before part chopping it for the GTI and it looked like new underneath. It was a pain to keep clean in winter with the salt but protected the paint like a charm.

If you don't mind me asking how much did that cost?

I had it wrapped, wheels powder coated, tinted and re mapped all in one session so wouldn't have a clue on how much the wrap on it's own would be. I do know the X6 is a huge car and used a fair bit of vinyl a smaller car would be considerably cheaper. Whoever you look at doing the job have a look at work they have done as some are not as good as others and I have seen some real messes driving around with wrinkles and peeling.
