new model/old model
« on: 21 September 2015, 20:49 »
Looking for some advice please!
My good lady is impressed with the Mk7, and has asked for a Tiguan.
My dilemma is the dealer has a new one, with Pana sun roof, full leather, park assist and Sat nav all chucked in. Is it worth buying or am I better off waiting for the new model in mid 2016?

I would wait until the new one comes out and see if you /wife likes it , if not hopefully there will still be some of the current model still available with  good deals .
I would check with the garage first .
That's what I am going to do , I want an R line next time ,currently  got a 2 .0 sport 4 motion and its brilliant .

You should be looking for a lot of money off a current Tiguan. £6k discount (inclusive of VW finance deposit contribution) is achievable.
Whey ya bugger! It's finally arrived after an 8 month wait....
MK7 R 5 door, manual, Lapiz Blue, Prets.

Car is 33.9K (euro) and he is taking our PX, 11 plate Kuga for 14.5K.
Had golf's for a very long time and not got a discount on one yet over here, but feel I have too on the out going model

Hadn't realised you're in Eire. In the UK at least you can get a big discount on the current Tiguan. If they're not offering much off it, with the new one on its way, i'd wait for the new one. The new one will almost certainly be better than the old one - the MK7 Golf is a significant jump in refinement, handling and equipment on the MK6.

I was going to wait for the new tiguan but ordered a current 184 R Line. I decided I wasn't going to be an early adopter ever again and with new tiguans not being ready for delivery until September ish next year I took the plunge and got 6k off the price with a few options. You certainly won't get any vw contribution on the brand new one and early discounts will be non existent just like the mk7 golf.
TCR, Pure Grey, DCC, Dynaudio and Climate Screen.
