MY2016 Sat Nav
« on: 21 September 2015, 12:58 »
Hi Guys - Can I ask what is probably a stupid question?

On my new golf gti (standard media) I can't find anywhere to input a new post code address.

If I click on 'New Destination' it brings up a screen that asks for town and street name, but no where seemingly to put post code.

Can anyone shed any light on this for me?  (sorry if it is obvious, and just me being a dumb-ass!)

Press the town button on the left and it should change to pcd. (I'm sure it's the town button).

Hi, This is German logic gone wrong and one of my MK7 niggles - why you should have to press Town before the postcode input option appears at the bottom of the Nav screen is just crazy and should have been fixed by now !

Not saying it's not a nuisance but in all honesty the UK is one of few countries in Europe if not the world where I'd bother inputting a postcode.
Most countries have a short 4 or 5 digit number for the postcode which covers a large area and inputting post code would not be any less work than inputting town and street and a number on the street (the British are rubbish at numbering buildings).
