For those of you suffering insomnia here are my facts of the day:
Filled up with Momentum last night, just under 50 litres went in and the previous tank did 340 ish miles (I think) which I was quite pleased with considering the few tanks before that barely reached 300 miles.
Anyway, today I had to do two 50 mile return journeys, so basically 200 miles, skirting the edge of Dartmoor on the A38 therefore pretty bendy and hilly.
Each journey was just over 40 miles of dual carriageway at NSL and just under 10 miles of 'edge of town' driving, so no real stop start city centre traffic but a good few sets of traffic lights.
First 50 miles, setting off at 04:20 came in at about 29mpg, dry weather, nice cool air. And I wasn't going that quickly either so I'll blame a cold engine on start up.
Next journey, the return leg, I decided to use cruise control on the quiet dual carriageway set to the NSL and that 100 mile round trip then came back at just over 31mpg on the MFA.
The next leg was setting off at 10:30 in the morning and quite heavy traffic but still cruising at the NSL on the dual carriageway and I managed 35.7 mpg on the MFA for that leg. No cruise control used.
And for the final leg back I decided to use the ACC cruise control again, set at NSL and the MFA recorded 34.7 for the entire 100 mile return trip.
