Need some advice on a couple of issues...
« on: 10 September 2015, 13:31 »
Hi Guys,

Recently i became a victim of the Clunky Suspension problem which is quite common to these cars.
I have replaced the worn ARB Bushes and droplinks, and although this has reduced the problem, I still find that it is clunking. I also find that it clunks when turning left or right. Anybody got any ideas to what else it could be?

On a seperate note- I had to jump start my car the other day and my fuel dial went all over the place, and resetting to midway everytime. I read somewhere that taking out the Fuse in the dashboard resets it, and in doing so found out that the Fuseboard Diagram is back to front to what it is in my car, and accidentally took out the airbag fuse instead. This has lead to an 'Airbag Fault' Showing on the dashboard- anybody know how to clear this?

Also, is it just my car that doesnt beep when you leave your lights on?

Thanks!

Ross

Clunky suss? is it lowered? is the ARB hitting?

Airbag, just use VCDS Lite and reset the fault code,

The beep for the lights is  fuse again, just look for any blown fuses, the diagram isnt back to front its like that in all the cars the shape of the triangle at the top should show you what fuse is what.

Clunking when turning left or right is normally your inner and or outer CV joints I believe not an expensive one :)

Lifted one corner up to find there was a little bit of play in the wheel - could this cause it?
I have changed the Track Rod ends as they were badly worn too- but this hasnt made a difference!
