Wow, looking at the pricing it looks like it may be £1-1.5k from a Clubsport to an R. But the GTI is crazy cheap in Germany (under £22k), so it's a bit hard to say - even after my 10 minutes of fiddling with Excel charts :D

I agree they are cheaper in Germany, however the spec is not the same .
Adaptive cruise appears on the option list for the Clubsport on that German VW configurator, I would expect it to be standard on UK cars, therefore more expensive?

Loads of things are missing from base spec GTI/GTD's in Germany - the car is on the face of cheaper and then slightly more expensive when you add all of the base UK spec.

They do get a lot more colour choice though!

Did anyone notice what wheel options were available?

About €3,500 more than a equivalent PP GTi?

So maybe £2k more?

Really close to R list price, with probably no discount...mmm....

Wheel options seem to be a pack of Prets with Cup 2 Tyres and DCC from what I can understand for €3k, but the DCC bit is in question. So around maybe £1800 for Prets with Cup 2 tyres.

There were the standard 18" wheels and 3 choices for 19": the silver angled wheels, prets and a black alloy that could have been prets or a similar design - didn't look too close.

Here we all are fretting over colours all 9 or however many we can chose from and ze Germans get a palate that's larger than paint on my work PC. I know they are upwards of £1500 but still. Imagine that in the UK and the debates on here.
