Steamy cabin
« on: 08 September 2015, 21:22 »
No im not an avid fan of dogging.
A while back i mentioned about a leaking sunroof.  Well a little update for anyone with a similar problem. Turns out it wasnt the seals it was the drainaway hose. My problem was with  the one on drivers side A pillar. Fairly simple. Remove airbag clip. Undo t20 bolt. Take off fuse box cap (near steering wheel) then pull away at the A pillar cover ( be careful there is an airbag). Follow the tube down. I pulled mine out then put it back in (wheeeeey) put all back together. No more steamy car and the rank chemicly/mold smell its disapearing.

Hope this helps anyone with a similar problem ( the tubes aparently go 2 all corners of the car. Some times the connection from on the sunroof to the tubes can leak also)

Another easy rout is to blow compressed air through the drain holes.

Also a dirty cabin filter can cause condensation
