Update - Nav still crap after 24hrs of working properly I'm back to square 1 so a dealer visit is booked for next week. Recent events below show the Nav location is well off as I'm on the red line route!

It can go a bit off with junctions but it quickly catches up. It also does that if you deviate at the last minute and it needs to re route. Maybe you're getting interference from an outside source eg airports or it could just be a dodgy aerial connection.

Thanks for the info but I may of found the issue (hopefully fingers crossed) as I run 2 mobius dash cams, 1 at the back & 1 at the front.  They are prone to giving of RF and I am wondering if the 2 cams in a small car are causing the issue.  I have always run 2 but in much bigger cars without any issues (BMW 5 series & Merc E class) or it maybe there location to the GPS aeriel or cabling.  Will test tonight on my return with both unplugged.

Are you connecting them to the cigarette lighter for power? Some people have previously complained about either the 12v sockets and or the units going into the sockets.

Yes powered from the sockets, on further investigation it would appear that the loss of gps nav is within the firsts 10 - 12 mins of driving when the camera's are first powered and warming up.  After that it settles down so its definitely pointing to the cams at the moment or perhaps the usb cables are poorly shielded?

If it's the cams warming up then I could make the 12v sockets permanent live so the cams stay warm but just concerned about main batt drain of the car?  The cams have super capacitors fitted so no risk of an internal battery meltdown.  Starting to add up a little now hopefully.

Ok with all dash cams & iphone disconnected from 12v supply I still have the issue 8-10 mins into every journey.  However this morning I was able to capture the whole issue which appears to be a possible gps issue or perhaps the pro nav unit is playing up.  The problem now happens everytime you use the nav for the first time of the day or after a 3hr stop.  It starts with a perfect location but then goes off course after 10 mins approx perhaps as the unit warms up?  After its little off course issue it completely settles down for the remainder of the trip regardless of travelling time & any short stop.  However anything over a 3hr stop when the car is off (cooling down), a restart to travel starts the whole issue again

If when you are out and about away from home, you hard reboot the navpro (holding down the power button), do you get the same problem after the reboot?
