oil leak help please :(

been scratching my head over this for ages. changed the rocker gasket, no joy.. seems to be coming from somewhere under the distributor. cleaned it up as best i could but after a drive it just still went wet everywhere so can't see a clear point its coming from.

Either the 'O' ring that seals the distributor to the head or the seal inside the distributor. Do you have oil inside distributor cap?

No oil in the distributor cap. Have a feeling youre right its the o ring. Mechanic friend just suggested the same.

Anyone know the vw part number?? Not finding the o ring online anywhere so think its a trip to vw direct.

Well never mind.. o ring from vw was too big and then the mounting plate snapped as i was refitting..

The cap is cracked anyway so new distributor time it is. Got 10% off a refurbished one which will get here next week.
My wallet is sipping vodka in the corner.. lol
