Mk 3 Electric Windows 3 door

Hi can any one help me. My drivers side electric window has finally given up the ghost and no longer works. I have tried looking for a secondhand part but as these cars are now getting rare, used spares are hard to come by. My car has done 245,000 miles and maybe be on its last MOT so buying a new one would be not viable. If anyone has one or can point me in the direction of locating a working S/H unit I would be very grateful. Thanks Dave

Not hard to find,ebay,gumtree,breakers etc.

Just google "breaking mk3 golf 3 door" 

If it's just the motor any drivers side one would do,3 or 5 door.

Where abouts are you? I've got one you could have.

Are you sure it is the regulator?
-check the wiring within the rubber boot next to the door hinges.
the wires snap, I had 8 snap in my old 5 door and only 3 in my current 3 door valver
