Don't people boosting 8v's just whack a turbo on it, stack head gaskets and use megasquirt for the management?

I'm all for doing things differently, but a turbo'ed 8v is hardly common to start with!

lol, quoted you and forgot to type... I've got a modified engine loom to run a G60 ECU as I couldn't be a**ed going megasquirt or standalone, it's simply plug and play in that respect. I've found a company on the good olde tinternet that will make a custom thickness head gasket to get the reduced compression rate I'll be looking for. I wish it was a simple bolt on and go, but the more I read into it the more 'techi' it gets. Compression rates, ratios, injectors, uprated pumps bla bla bla. I may have it up and running in say another year!!!

don't think a g60 ecu would be compatible with a turbo engine as a turbo and an s/c deliver boost in a different way.

I see what your saying, but I needed an ECU that sees boost and not airflow, hence G60 setup CE1, and not the standard CE2. The plan is to then get the ECU chipped and remapped to suit the turbo setup, although I'm guessing that (on factory spec) as the boost increases the ECU would see it and increase the fuel anyways as its good for upto 1bar, around 15psi, and I'd only be running at the most upto 12psi, the waste gate should take care of the rest.
