R drivers acknowledging each other?

Dropping my son to five a side practice the other Sunday I had not one but two mk5 Golfs do some ridiculous overtakes in 30 limits.
One on the way there and one on the way back. 
Maybe they were trying to impress me?

I have had similar things happen to me with mk5 GTIs. It's like they are trying to prove a point.

Having run my M135i for almost a year.I was assured that other M Lite owners would flash,wave and nod at me.Well,they are VERY thin on the ground round my way.Have seen about 4 in a year.Nobody waved or anything.Even the one who refused to let me out at a petrol station.I nodded and smiled and he just looked at me like i was a fanny.
