Bluefin Recommendation!
« on: 31 July 2015, 18:00 »
I've been reading through a few threads on here with regards to Remapping & bluefin Superchips.. After making the decision that bluefin would be better suited to my needs whilst my warranty is valid today I installed it.

I bought the kit from EuroCarParts & arrived next day, the instructions are so simple & took around 30 minutes to download my car Data, upload the old map & download the new map and reassign to the car.

Well the results are fantastic, the pull of the car is great through every gear, but espically 3rd & 4th when staying on boost it becomes a rocket. 1st & 2nd become pretty useless when TCS is off so turned this back on quickly.  I'm yet to see the difference in MPG but that's probably down to my driving.   Would recommend BF to anyone for the value for money & ease of use with the outcomes it gave!!

Happy Customer!

Second that, had it on two cars, a Mk5 GT TDI and my current GTI, others may give you more BHP, but like the ability to take it off again if needed

Yeah you can take the map off but doesnt really make much difference to warranty as VW have software which tells them how many times the ECU has been flashed, so if its over 1 then they will know it has been mapped anyways. Therefore voiding any warranty you have.

Thats why it should be and can only be REVO for the win

Dealer might spot the bigger brakes, the intake and exhaust first, so doesn't need to worry about the remap, car is 5 years old so no warranty, I put £50 a month into a savings account to cover any unexpected repairs (haven't got enough for a new engine, but most other things could be covered). At the end of the day I have a tidy sum towards my next car, if nothing goes wrong.
