First time VW buyer, GTI.
« on: 29 July 2015, 21:19 »
Hi Guys.

Thought it would be a good idea to sign up to a dedicated VW forum to learn a bit more before I take delivery of my car which is ages away. I don't have a build date yet, so not sure when to expect it either. We confirmed the order on the 22nd July and the dealer said we should receive it by the end of October.

My spec is:

5 door
DSG box
Santiago alloys
Deep black pearl
90% rear tints
Rear view camera
Also confirmed with the dealer that it'll have keyless entry/go, winter pack (just heated seats right? or more) and sat nav as standard. Which I'm pretty chuffed with!

I think the car is a bargain considering the amount of standard equipment you receive, it really puts MB and BMW to shame for the extortionate amounts they charge. Any other worthwhile options that I should have got?

My last car was an M135i which I had for about 6 months. Loved it, had the M performance exhaust so it sounded ridiculously good! Unfortunately whilst changing lane on the motorway on a slight incline while it was raining horrendously it aquaplaned and ended up in a ditch. So after looking at tons of cars, from A45's to 435d xDrives I ended up at a VW garage and the rest was history!

Thanks if you've got this far! Look forward to your replies!

Welcome, nice spec

You'll get a better response if you post directly in the Mk7 section.
