There never was a MK5 GTD

Top spec MK5 was the 170bhp GT TDI
At that age it should have had 2 x cambelt changes and the injectors replaced under the VW recall
On the test drive stick it in 4th gear at 30mph and plant your foot. This will help test the clutch and see if it will slip or not
Ask the owner if they have ever had any issues with the DPF at all and if they have ever seen the DPF light. If they did then ask them what they did to extinguish it and how many times it's happened. Ideally it should be zero and at no worse more than 3 times. Anything more would point to the DPF being past its life
Test drive at least 3 examples to get a picture of how they drive. You want to find the best one and you'll be amazed at the performance difference between those that have been looked after and those that have been abused
