New gti is due in next 10 days at dealer (genuinely giddy with anticipation) but was wondering whether I a.can and b.should delay picking up until September to get 65 plate. Am leasing it (don't know if that should make a difference). Think I'll struggle to wait over a month but not the most experienced with new cars so was hoping for advice. Thanks.

If its a lease then I wouldn't wait - if it was my own money buying the car, i'd wait until the 65 plate, selling a 65 plate in 3 years time will fetch more than a 15 plate that will look 6 months older to the general public, for the sake of a few weeks....but that's the lease company's problem!
