I bought the car like this and the guy said he dint put an induction on as it would use a fair bit more fuel he said. when he had stage 2 done it slipped a few times the clutch the day he had it done then since then it has never slipped the clutch has done 15k miles on the stage 2 and is still not slipping but carnt imagine its going to last much longer so waying up a race clucth i also get the release bearing grind when car is cold which is annoying but he told me this would not affect anything do anyone no if thats true as the noise when cold does not sound nice at all

I had that annoying release bearing noise from when I bought my car used to hate it. When I took my car to stage 1 last year after a few weeks my clutch started slipping pretty bad original clutch was on about 68k miles by then. So I had the sachs uprated clutch fitted and at same time a brand new OEM duel mass fly wheel. Total parts and labour was around £700. Clutch was slightly heavier but after a week didnt even notice it but gear changes felt a lot better, and best of all it got rid of the annoying release bearing noise (as a new one comes with the sachs clutch.)

Had a VW up as a courtesy car not long ago and I thought the clutch had gone on it when I went to drive off as my foot was so used to the sachs clutch that I just kept putting it to the floor

Hope this helps :)
Paul

Just out of curiousity, how do you find the forge blow off valve on your golf? Do you like it? I'm very tempted to get one but dont wan it to sound too chavvy if that's what its like.

Its okay is quite loud not as good as an actual dump valve the noise is the same most way frew the rev range were on a dump valve makes more noise off the more u boost it they are noy expensive can pick cheap ones up for £30 off ebay and easy fit worth a try but ye they are quite loud mate

That's what mine looks like with the H&R springs mate, at Gti inters, i think the back sits perfect woth 12mm spacers aswell but the front might need to be a tad lower for perfection, but i like it the way it is!
