Car Alarm
« on: 23 July 2015, 13:16 »
Hi guys I'm new to the forum but looking for a bit of advice/wondering if anyone has had a similar issue before!

Whenever I lock my car (mk5 gti) with the fob the alarm goes off, usually a couple of minutes later. I thought if I locked the car using the door lock then it might stop the alarm going off but when I turn the key it just keeps turning and doesn't lock or unlock the car.

Does anyone have any ideas what is going on with the lock and if they think that would cause the alarm to go off?

Cheers!

Scan it for faults.

Maybe wiring issue or faulty micro switch. VCDS can check measuring blocks and should give you states of all locks and switches therein.
