G60 Arches
« on: 17 July 2015, 16:13 »
How do people do it?

You can get G60 front wings, so I can see how people convert the front, but what do they do at the rear? Cut the metal out and just stick the G60 plastic trim on? I had guessed you coulr get G60 rear arch repair panels, so cut the old arch mental out and weld in G60 metal, but I cant find anyG60 repair arches.

Any ideas? This isn't something I am immediately planning on doing. More wonder out of interest really

The rear G60 arches aren't that much different so generally people only do the fronts - which are much more obvious.

You don't need to do anything to standard wings to fit G60 arches but if you want the small extra clearance it brings you can trim the metal back in the same way.

Ahh okay, thanks for that! I thought there was more to the extra clearance than just a cut away.

On that note, how do they attach the trim with cut away metal? Glue?

You can still rivit the lower part of the plastic arch then for the top use tiger seal.
Really good stuff works a treat on plastic trim.
