DSG Paddle Retro Fit
« on: 09 July 2015, 21:14 »
Right. Seeing as Booth11 and myself completely hijacked Exonion's " I Blame You Lot" post I will start a new one as we have dragged his post way off topic.

We were discussing replacing the fairly tame flappy paddle DSG shifters with these.

We have found a site in Germany that can supply several variations on the same theme from here

http://www.cars-equipment.com/www/en/shop/shift-paddles-3/oem-8v0951523inz-audi-rs-flat-bottom/

Next thing is. Has anyone ever done this mod and if so how hard was it and does it require coding with VCDS.
Thanks in advance

Nice one JB

Not that it matters but I think car-equipment.com are based in Czech Republic.

Mr Ex seems to think they would just be essentially plug and play without out requiring coding?  Hope so.

Really like those, think I'll go for these ones as I like the big paddles on the M4. There's an instruction manual here too, gonna guess the ones your looking at is similar?

I am interested, but those still look short, the S2tpp ones look good, but what a price, have consider some stick on ones, but feel they will not be a premium feel. Somebody needs to make longer, good looking, reasonably priced shifters.

I doubt the Audi paddles will fit the the GTI wheel tbh, they look like a different fitting:

Such a shame if they are different fitting which the ebay pics do suggest.

The ones Neil suggested are very similar to the ones I looked.  They are quite nice but look a bit flimsy, less oem and I much prefer the squatter design of the Audi (though not as squat as the standard VW ones).  Needs further investigation.

Cheers for the link.

Some of them (the massive silver ones at end p.4) are   Tbh, I don't like any of them much, all a bit crass for my taste.  Miight have to compromise if there is nothing more subtle available  :undecided:

I'm a big fan of OSIR stuff, might even get a few carbon bits when i'm feeling flush!

The paddles they did for the mk5/6 would be my choice without doubt if they ever did them for the mk7.
