Hey guys,

My 2009 MK6 GTI DSG is still under warranty with dealership, so trying to get to the bottom of this issue.

This is intermittent, but what I've found is that when in Sport Mode and slowing down (say coming to the lights) the car can sometimes almost stop itself with a huge deceleration. It feels like it's possibly the gearbox dropping too many gears at once?

Has anyone witnessed this at all and can point to a reason?

They've changed the DSG oil and filter, but I've only done about 20 miles since and haven't been able to reproduce as yet.

If it's the gearbox on the way out I'd like to make sure it's resolved while it's still under warranty :)

Cheers

Car is going into get fixed under dealership warranty. They are not sure what it is, but have reproduced the issue themselves. Meant to say, other symptom is the when the I manual shift with paddles while in DRIVE, it pretty much stays in manual mode until I come close to a stop or switch it into manual and back into DRIVE. All related I'm sure. Fair play to the dealership who are taking it in week after next to do whatever is required - even if it's a gearbox rebuild!

Anyone experienced anything similar?
